Another of me playing the 2 manual 4 rank Compton extension organ at St George's Church in the Coventry suburb of Coundon.

Im playing the lovely hymn 'There is a green hill far away' to the tune 'Horsley'. The first verse starts off with the Salicional rank at pitches 8 and 4 and then in the second verse the melody is provided by the beautiful Harmonic Flute rank. This is a good hymn for demonstrating the qualities of the individual ranks of pipes. Unfortunately due to the recent weather, the Trumpet rank was out of tune so I decided not to include it on my videos of my visit here. However, this is a fantastic instrument and a superb example of the kind of instruments which Comptons installed in many suburban churches in the post war years.

Many thanks to Reverend Alison Evans and Ann Weitzel for allowing me access to this fine Compton organ.
