33-year-old Brad Lee Davis was drinking beers with his stepfather, 58-year-old Denver St. Clair, at St. Clair’s residence. St. Clair started insulting his wife who is also Davis’ mother, and a fight broke out. Davis says he used the atomic wedgie in self defense after St. Clair “jumped him.”

The Oklahoma Medical Examiner listed the cause of death as “asphyxiation and blunt force trauma.” Police found the victim with his underwear’s elastic waistband pulled up his back, over his head, and wrapped around his neck forcibly. Blood was also splattered in the kitchen, living room, and even on the ceiling.

Being held without bond, Davis now faces a murder charge.

St. Clair reportedly had a history of domestic violence, and an emergency protective order filed against him by his wife in 2008 was made permanent in 2011. She had previously filed one in 2004, but it had been dismissed.
