It is all going downhill for the participants of the 45th horn sledge race in the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Monday.
A tradition that started in 1970, the name of the competition stems from the shape of the sledge, modelled after the horn of a mountain goat. The horn sledge was originally use to transport bales of hay or wood from the mountains into the valleys, and some continued to attempt that on Monday.
