One of football’s greatest ever strikers, Eusebio has died, aged 71.
Known as the “Black Panther” his full name was Eusubio de Silva Ferreira.
He won the European Cup with Benfica in 1962 and was named European Footballer of the Year in 1965
Eusubio made his name as a striker for Portugal at the 1966 World Cup in England where he scored nine goals to help his team finish third.
The Portugese sports daily A’Bola said Eusebio died of cardiac arrest in the early hours of Sunday morning.
