Little knick-knacks – they’re scattered in most homes all across the world. However those small, usually wooden or ceramic pieces of décor can be dangerous.
A woman in Charleston, South Carolina is now in some hot water after she allegedly beat her husband with a ceramic squirrel. The couple reportedly got into a heated argument on Christmas, over, of all things, beer.
44-year-old Helen Ann Williams became enraged after her spouse returned home late on Christmas Eve empty handed. The unidentified man has intended to purchase the alcohol but quickly learned the stores closed early on the night before the holiday.
The 41-year-old hubby, unsure of how to diffuse Williams’ anger decided to simply ignore it and made himself a sandwich. However it just made matters worse.
Furious, Williams grabbed a ceramic squirrel and smashed her husband on the head with it. She then used the knick knack to stab him in the chest. At the time of the assault, it was after midnight, so it wasn’t exactly a Merry Christmas for the pair.
The wounded husband ran to a neighbor’s house and called police. Upon officers’ arrival, the wife was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence.
