Pakistan Relief Foundation organized a protest against the issue of contaminated water of Keenhar Lake on 29.12.2013. Chairman PRF Haleem Adil Sheikh led the protest, during talking to media he said that, it has been ten years, none of any stakeholders have taken serious action against continuous contamination of Keenjhar Lake. The government is lacking interest to solve developing threat, which is ultimately increasing vulnerability to people depending on the Kalri Baghar Feeder and Keenjhar Lake. Petitions are filed in high court, despite of few initiatives there is allot more to perform for the sake of lives of people. The people of Kotri, Jamshoro, Thatta and Karachi are suffering from continuous contamination of sweet water reservoir, increasing threat to 3.5 cror populations depending on the system. Hundreds have joined hands with Pakistan Relief Foundation to stop contamination of Keenjhar Lake, potential threat to people depending on our reservoirs especially Keenjhar Lake.
