British Prime Minister David Cameron was confronted by angry residents during a visit to the village of Yalding in Kent.

Several people complained about how flooding and power outages in their area were being handled by the authorities.

A battering of wind and rain flooded more than 1,000 homes across the south of England and left thousands more without power.

The stormy weather is forecast to continue.
