BJ’s Wholesale Club was so touched by the recent generosity and overall spirit of giving demonstrated by people and other companies this holiday season that they decided to “pay it forward” to three military families in the Fort Bragg-area. The company surprised military families living on the North Carolina Army base with the holiday of their dreams from the Fayetteville BJ’s club.

The military families were contacted with the help of the local USO, the nonprofit organization that provides programs and services to U.S. troops and their families, and were invited to BJ’s Wholesale Club for an exclusive meet and greet with Santa and a free membership. As the families visited with Santa, sharing their holiday wishes, BJ’s “elves” scouted the club to locate the gifts the families asked for. As the families left the festive holiday event, the gifts they had wished for were waiting for them— talk about holiday cheer!

“BJ’s Wholesale Club has been truly inspired by the acts of kindness this holiday season, and we wanted to contribute,” said Laura Sen, CEO of BJ’s Wholesale Club. “Throughout the year, BJ’s is dedicated to the communities we serve and thought this was the perfect way to spread additional holiday joy, while at the same time honor some of our brave military families.”
