Anti-government protesters have continued to occupy Kiev's Independence Square, a day after European leaders made renewed calls on Ukraine to sign a cooperation deal. Protesters gathered on Saturday night demanded President Viktor Yanukovych's resignation over his decision to snub the agreement, in favour of closer ties with Moscow. Al Jazeera's Jennifer Glasse, reporting from Kiev, said thousands of people have already gathered at the square ahead of a larger protest planned on Sunday.
