A 19-year-old wife, Sophie Guite was arrested after she struck her husband with a kitchen spatula.

Domestic arguments can start over the most mundane things. For some couples, they can reach violent levels.

That seemed to be true for a married pair in Winterport, Maine. A 19-year-old wife, Sophie Guite was arrested after she struck her husband with a kitchen spatula.

While the full circumstances of the battle aren’t exactly clear, police were sent to the home after Mrs. Guite had sent a text message to a female friend, informing her that she had been assaulted.

The panicked friend then alerted law enforcement authorities and asked them to check on Sophie. When cops arrived at the residence they spoke to both Sophie’s husband and her brother.

After that, she was arrested.According to a police spokesperson “In talking with everybody at the scene, it was determined she was the predominant aggressor. She had struck her husband in the forehead with a spatula, leaving marks. Nobody was very forthcoming about why.”

It was not immediately clear if the husband required medical attention. Guite was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She was released from jail after paying $400 in bail.
