Altaf Hussain appeals Chief Justice Pakistan to take notice of the tragic incidents of Aligarh & Qasba Colony

The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has paid great tributes to martyrs of Aligarh and Qasba Colony incidents and said these tragic incidents were dark pages of our history.
Mr. Hussain said that MQM has evidence related to the tragic incidents including a video footage. He added that the courts could take notice of incidents after the passage of 10 or 20 years. He appealed to the new Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan Tassaduq Hussain Jilani to take notice of the tragic incidents of Aligarh and Qasba Colony and order an investigatiom into the tragic incidents. He added that it could provide justice to bereaved families of 300 martyrs.
He expressed these views on the 27th anniversary of the tragic incident of December 14, 1986.
Mr. Hussain said that MQM had always faced great oppression. He added that the party was stilling facing oppression because of its struggle against injustices and outmoded system and customs in the country.
“Hundreds of innocent kids, women and elders have suffered ordeal because of the tragic incidents. Armed killers massacred hundreds of people, including women and children. They burnt people alive. They burnt properties. Neither the police nor rangers came to stop the bloodbath. The city administrator remained a silent spectator. Sons of the people who founded Pakistan had to suffer this ordeal. It is deplorable killers who did this massacres are still large after the passage of 27 years. Bereaved families of the martyred people are stilling waiting for the justice, “ Mr. Hussain said.
Mr. Hussain said that the sacrifices of these martyrs would not go in vain. He added that their sacrifices had strengthened the movement. He prayed that this movement for justice would achieve its goal and killers would be brought to justice.
