In his first peace message as pontiff, Pope Francis said huge salaries and bonuses - are symptoms of an economy based on greed.
His message - for the Roman Catholic Church's World Day of Peace - on January 1st - also called for a narrowing of the gap between rich and poor.
The pope's message will be sent to national leaders and international organizations - like the U.N. and NGOs.
It also attacked injustice, human trafficking, organized crime and the weapons trade.
