Finding a unique, exceptionally rare home décor item can prove to be a challenge. Two designers have now joined forces to target the eclectic crowd.

Andrea Colombo, who has a fascination with vintage cars and Linda Assandri, who focuses more on the girly girl, jewel encrusted details, have created a piece of furniture called the Glamour Beetle Armchair.

The innovative chair is a combination of both women’s passions and talents featuring legitimate wings from a 1960s era Volkswagen Beetle. The centerpiece of the Beetle front end is an upholstered rustic looking chair.

The chair somehow manages to combine art and femininity, with help from the Swarovski crystals, but there is also a masculine aspect given that the outer frame is comprised of a vintage vehicle. The legs and trim serve as finishing touches on the furniture piece, crafted from the buyer’s choice of silver leaf or gold.

The beautiful and imaginative chair is made entirely in Italy. What do you think of the glamour chair? How do you like the idea of having one in your house?
