After picking my job up after 4 months, I have become 6 months behind on my Nissan Lease. I MUST HAVE A CAR, AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. Nissan has been very, very UNHELPFUL!!! The real question is...If I file either type of Bankruptcy, will the judge order, or help me ask Nissan to recalculate the lease and get me current, so that I can make the regular payment. You see, I can once again make the $450.00 per month lease payment, but there is NO WAY I can pay the almost $3000.00 in arrears on the lease. What is the deal about banko and lease agreements, can they be changed? I AM DESPERATE!!! HELP ME BEFORE I PAY OUT THOUSANDS TO FILE BANKRUPTCY AND IT DOES ME NO GOOD TO KEEP MY CAR FROM REPO. They are actively looking for the car, and they cannot find it...this buys me time, as I have moved, but its just a matter of time before its picked up. I desperately need to keep my car, or get a new one. What about credit counseling services? Can they help me with Nissan to be more forgiving in NEW lease terms. Shouldn't Nissan want me to keep the car and renegotiate the lease?
