The Green Bay Packers will travel in NFC North divisional play to face the Detroit Lions in an NFL pro football game on Thanksgiving Thursday.

Kick off time from Detroit is scheduled for 12:30PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by FOX TV.

The betting odds from this NFL pro football game has the home team Detroit Lions favored by -5 points with an over under line set at 50 ½ points.

Green Bay moves to 5-5-1 on the year following a 26-26 home tie to the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday as a -5 ½ point wagering favorite. The game total landed at over 44 ½ points. Green Bay was down by 13 then outscored Minnesota 16-3 in the fourth quarter to rally for the overtime period.

The Packers offense produced 494 yards with 196 rushing on 34 carries. Matt Flynn hit on 21 of 36 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown. Eddie Lacy ran for 110 yards on 25 carries and a touchdown. They had no turnovers and forced one away from the Vikings. On defense Green Bay gave up 447 yards to the Vikings offense with 232 rushing on 43 attempts on the ground.

Detroit has lost two straight to move to 6-5 on the season following a 24-21 home defeat last week to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a -7 ½ point favorite. The game total came in at under 48 ½ points. The game winner came on a big play as Mike Glennon for Tampa Bay hits on an 85 yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

The Detroit offense posted 392 yards with 104 running on 24 carries. Matthew Stafford completed 26 of 46 passes for 297 yards with three touchdowns and four picks. One pick was returned for a Tampa Bay touchdown. Reggie Bush ran for 83 yards on 15 carries. The Lions did go a perfect 3 of 3 inside the red zone but a -5 turnover margin provided too much to overcome. The Lions defense allowed 229 yards to the Tampa Bay offense with 22 rushing yards on 24 carries.

Packers versus Lions Series Notes:

The teams met back on October 6th in Green Bay with the Packers earning the 22-9 home victory against the Lions as a -10 point wagering favorite. The game total landed under 53 points. It was a defensive struggle in the first half as the Packers took a 6-3 lead at the half time break. Detroit couldn’t get much going offensively until a meaningless 13 yard touchdown pass by Matthew Stafford in the closing minutes to cut the margin to 13 in the end. The Packers were able to effectively move the football on the Lions as the team amassed 449 yards. It was a balanced attack with 180 rushing yards and Aaron Rodgers threw for 269 yards and a touchdown.
