I did not reaffirm the debt on my home. My home is worth much less than I owe, and I want to walk away from it. I stopped paying my mortgage in September, and they have not foreclosed...yet. Now people are saying they can come after me for a deficiency judgment, even though I filed and received a bankruptcy. Does anyone know if this is true? I really don't want to stay here, my neighborhood has gone downhill fast. Although if I'm going to have to pay the deficiency of what it will sell for, I might have to rethink my options. Any help on this would be deeply appreciated. -
