Three women have graduated from one of the most grueling infantry courses in the Marines. Fifteen women signed up, but only the three completed it so far. Some were forced to quit because of injuries and others dropped out voluntarily. They had to endure long days and nights out in the field, also required to hike 12.4 miles carrying 85 pounds of gear. After all that, however, they will still only be assigned staff and support positions since women are not allowed in combat.
