Space balls! Meteorite hits house in Connecticut, family rocked

Meteor hits house: A weird black rock that smashed through a house in Wolcott, Connecticut has been confirmed by Yale scientists as a meteorite.

Researchers believe the rock was originally part of the Lyrids meteor shower, which happens each year around the same time as Earth intersects the orbit of comet Thatcher.
