Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - If someone who owes you money declares bankruptcy and names you as a debtor, do you receive a notice? - Someone who took out a large personal loan from me declared bankruptcy shortly thereafter. This is happening in the state of California. I have two questions:

First, if this person named me on their list of debtors, will I receive notice?

Second, if they did not list me, how long do they have to make an amendment and list me?

Third, I believe there is a period of time where if you take out loans or make purchases shortly before filing bankruptcy it is considered fraud. Can anyone tell me what that time frame is?

References are greatly appreciated. Thank you very much! -
