I surrendered the vehicle back in November but I never got a receipt. I just drove the car up to the same dealership where I leased it from and parked it in front of the service department put the keys in the drop box and walked away. The dealership even called me the next day and confirmed they had the car.

Now almost three months later after I've been discharged from my bankruptcy someone from BMW financial services keeps calling me asking me where the car is. They have even threatened to have me arrested if the car is not located. I told them the car was turned in a couple of months ago to the dealership. They called the dealership and they claim the car was never turned in. Can they legally pin this on me even though my bankruptcy has been discharged. -
