Typically problems with brakes are that people wait, can't afford to get it done so they wait a long period of time and they end up chewing up the rotor. So, typically we're servicing brake pads and rotors. Typically on brakes what we try to do is meet OEM equivalent or better. If the vehicle is able to take a ceramic pad then we recommend a ceramic pad.

It's really hard to put a length of time on how long brakes will last, but I would say it's based on the driver's habits. But typically a ceramic pad should last twice as long as a standard pad. So the advantage over a ceramic pad over a standard pad is that it disperses the heat better and it lasts longer.
