I have a mastercard debit card that i am wanting to use for a car rental when i arrive. I am using a round trip plane ticket. I am a bit confused by the information on all the car rental web sites that mention the use of these type of cards. I understand about the information that i can use the mastercard debit card for the rental but what is confusing me is the credit check part. I will admit that I like alot of people don't have great credit and that i am involved in a bankruptcy but it will be paid off in just over a year.

What i am mostly wanting to know is there a way to either find out what your credit score has to be for the rental company to let you rent with no problem or is there company's out there that will let you rent without the worry of credit checks. any information be helpful. -
