The president of Iraqi Kurdistan has been in Turkey calling on Kurds there to support the country’s peace process.
It was Masoud Barzani’s first visit to Turkey’s Kurdish southeast in more than two decades.
He met with Prime Minister Erdogan who has been working to end the three decade long insurgency by Kurdish militants PKK.
Thousands gathered to hear the two men speak as well as listen to a Kurdish poet and singer who had fled Turkey in the 1970s.
Barzani’s visit comes as Ankara has just finalised billions of dollars of energy deals with Iraqi Kurdistan.
