Flying in coach can sometimes be an uncomfortable experience, but a new seating concept might be the solution.
Seymourppwell, a design firm from the United Kingdom, has come up with an airline seat that they think will make flying a more comfortable experience for passengers in coach, or economy seating.
The project is called Morph, because of the seat’s ability to change its position for different functions.
Seymourpowell's head of transport Jeremy White said: “Passengers who can afford premium, business or first class have a choice and hence some control over their own experience. Morph is a solution – a standard product that meets the needs of lots of different kinds of people.”
The three seat row is a total of 54 inches wide, which is a typical economy size bench, but it can be adjusted to fit different specifications.
For example, it can be turned into two seats that are each 22 inches wide, which might come in handy for larger people whot now have to buy the seats next to theirs in order to travel comfortably.
Also when the Morph reclines, the back of the bench remains fixed as the movers are built into the seat itself.
