There are many DJ’s who have a talent for bringing a party to life with the right music choices and style. A Dutch artist in Rotterdam literally does that.
Olaf Mooij takes a night out to a whole new level by driving around in car, which also serves as a working piece of artwork. Basically a drivable sound system, it’s called the ‘DJ mobile 2-0’.
The vehicle is entirely functional, allowing it to go anywhere, meaning there’s no party that could potentially be left out. However the visual appearance is an innovative, almost abstract highlight.
From the side view, the red automobile almost looks like a lobster with claws or thick wires protruding from the roof. However those “claws” are actually mechanisms that hold the speakers which decorate the rear of the vehicle.
From the back, onlookers get a straight on view of the various components of the sound system which stems from an artistic centerpiece and speaker. The DJ working the mobile unit is able to stand from inside the vehicle and still operate the system thanks to a cut out in the roof.
