Germany's Sorbs are one of the rare minority ethnic groups recognised by the state. They live mainly in the coal-rich Lausitz region, near the Polish border. But coal is now the source of their worries. Over the last decades, Sorbs from over a hundred villages have had to leave as coal mines have eaten up the their homes. Now even more of them face having to move, as coal extraction has started up again, following the decommissioning of the oldest nuclear power plants.
