Sometimes nature has a great sense of humor.

Town workers in Ipswich, United Kingdom came across a bizarre sight while cleaning up storm damaged trees in the local parks.

The root ball of one particular fallen tree in Alexandra Park looks exactly like a Spaniel. The root of the tree appears to be an intricate Spaniel. Amazingly, the way the tree had fallen in the storm somehow made the facial features of the pooch stand out.

A dog’s head can be seen, held straight up, seemingly keeping watch on the surroundings. A snout and eyes are also highlighted by the damaged wood remnants.

The Spaniel looking oak tree was one of the many causalities of St Jude storm. While it remains unknown what council workers will do with the odd tree, a photo was taken to share with public members.

Both Alexandra Park and Holywells Park are the two locations that took the hardest hit by the storm. Both remain closed while workers clean up and chronicle the damage, so there’s still time to find a few more picture worthy trees.

Have you ever come across a funny looking tree?
