The US Secretary of State says no agreement has been reached yet between world powers and Iran over its nuclear programme.
John Kerry has broken off a tour of the Middle East to come to Geneva amid speculation that a deal is imminent.
He’s due to meet Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif – saying important issues on the table remain unresolved.
“We hope to try and narrow those differences but we don’t think anybody should mistake that there are some important gaps that have to be closed,” Kerry told reporters beforehand.
Under a deal it’s thought Iran might agree to limit its nuclear programme in return for a partial lifting of sanctions.
Benjamin Netanyahu has said such a “bad” agreement would be the “deal of the century” for Iran and utterly opposed by Israel.
