The office space became polluted by car exhaust fumes at a Chinese company. Instead of sending employees home while the situation can be addressed, workers were given gas masks as an offering of protection from the sickening fumes.

There are times when employers are forced to send staff home and call off work.

However bosses at a Chinese business are committed to keep employees working. The work spaces have become polluted by car exhaust fumes.

Instead of sending employees home while the situation can be addressed, workers were given gas masks as an offering of protection from the sickening fumes. It all started after the office's air conditioning unit was reinstalled by an outside company.

And a major mistake was made during the process – the AC system was set up to suck in air from an underground car garage situated below the building.

It didn’t take long for employees at the firm to begin complaining of headaches, uncontrollable coughing and watering eyes. After the bosses continuously dealt with staffers expressing dissatisfaction over their ailments for three whole days, they went out and purchased gas masks.

The business responsible for installing the air conditioner refuses to correct the problem, blaming it all on the Chinese firm, as company heads requested a specific location of the vents. For now the staffers are left breathing from a mask, until the problem is corrected. (1, last)
