A 400-pound tiger in Florida had a 4-pound hairball surgically removed from its stomach.
Ty, a 400-pound tiger cared for by Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation in Florida, had to have a 4-pound hairball surgically removed. The big cat hadn't eaten in two weeks and was losing weight. Doctors took X-rays and inserted a scope to find what was wrong, only to discover a giant hairball. Since Ty couldn't hack it up on his own, the doctors removed it surgically. The mammoth wad was about as big as a basketball.
