A 22-year old man died Thursday evening in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after being shot three times by an unidentified assailant following an argument with his girlfriend, according to local reports.

The victim, Shazwan Rashidi, confronted his girlfriend at a nightclub Wednesday night after seeing her with another man.

The unemployed Rashidi left the club following the dispute, but was followed by the pair.

After the victim stopped at a parking lot nearby a local supermarket, he attacked his girlfriend's male companion. An unknown assailant wearing a full-faced helmet then allegedly appeared during the conflict and shot Rashidi three times. Twice in the face and once in the abdomen.

The unidentified suspect then fled the scene on a motorcycle.

Rashidi succumbed to his injuries around 7pm on Thursday. Local police said they are following up some leads.
