Bob Barker is coming back and making a rare appearance on 'The Price Is Right' for his 90th birthday.

The Price Is Right is one of the most beloved and reportedly longest running televised game shows in the history of television. And the host most commonly associated with the show is Bob Barker.

Now Barker is making a rare appearance on The Price Is Right in celebration of his 90th birthday on December 12th.

In addition to appearing on The Price is Right from Monday, December 9th through Friday, December 13th, Bob Barker will host additional shows featuring humane pet treatment and animal adoptions – both of which are causes very important to Barker.

Since retiring from the role of host in 2007 when he handed over the mic to Drew Carey, Barker has only returned to the show once in 2009. He initially began hosting in 1972.

As for his in person appearance, that show will be pre taped on November 5th and broadcast on his actual birthday. This year’s celebration of Barker can be considered bittersweet, as last year, he was reportedly not invited to attend events focused around the show’s 40th anniversary.
