A match made in the OR: a couple met over a kidney transplantation and married three years later.

Chelsea Clair met Kyle Froelich for the first time at a car show. Froelich, then 19, had less than a year to live due to failed kidneys. Finding out that he had been unsuccessful in his search for a compatible donor, 22-year-old Clair offered him one of hers.

Miraculously, medical testing revealed that Clair is a near-perfect match for Froelich. The two went into surgery at Indiana University hospital six months after their first meeting.

Froelich accepted Clair's kidney without complication. The two started dating officially after the transplant and got married three years later.

The couple named the organ Sparky, and hold 'Sparkypaloozas' to celebrate the anniversary of the procedure.

When the going gets tough, Chelsea sometimes threatens to take back the kidney.
