Bob Barker recently donated $1 million in an effort to make sure that three precious elephants made it safely to their new home.

Bob Barker, the long-time host of the widely popular game show, The Price is Right may be retired but that doesn’t mean he’s spending that hard earned cash only on himself.

Barker recently donated $1 million, in an effort to make sure that three precious elephants made it safely to their new home, the Performing Animal Welfare Society, or PAWS for short, which is located in San Andreas, California.

The elephants were transported from their former home in Canada. Barker decided to intervene and offer support after authorities at PAWS and Canadian zoo workers argued about who was responsible for funding the journey.

The trip took a total of four days and required veterinarians along with handlers to be present at all times. Barker was at the sanctuary to welcome the animals and watch them get acquainted with their new home.

As for his decision to spend the massive sum of money on the elephants, 89-year-old Barker claimed to have no regrets. He stated "I had a job that I loved. I was very well paid for it, and now I'm spending my money. I intend to die broke. “
