The St Louis Cardinals will look to bounce back when they face the Boston Red Sox in Game 2 of their best of 7 World Series from Major League Baseball on Thursday night.

First pitch from Boston is set for 8PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by FOX TV.


The World Series odds from game two have the home side Boston Red Sox favored by -110 odds with the return on the St Louis Cardinals at +100 odds. The run total is lined at seven runs.

Starting for the Cardinals will be right hander Michael Wacha as he will oppose righty John Lackey for the Red Sox. Wacha is 7-1 on the season in 12 starts with an ERA of 2.21 and WHIP of 0.97. Lackey works for the 32nd time and is 12-13 with an ERA of 3.49 and WHIP of 1.16.

Wacha has pitched three post season games and allowed one earned run and eight hits over 21 innings of work. Lackey has two starts in the playoffs and the Red Sox have won each time. The Boston right hander gave up four earned runs and 11 hits with three walks over his 12 point season innings in 2013.

Boston takes the 1-0 series lead after an 8-1 home victory against the Cardinals as a -120 betting odds favorite. The game went well under seven runs. Big night for the four and five hitter in the Red Sox lineup as David Ortiz and Mike Napoli combine for three hits and two runs in seven at bats with six runs batted in. It was another weak hitting night for St Louis much like was saw in the NLCS.
