The 30-foot deep, 15-foot wide sinkhole may have been caused by a burst water main weakening the area after Toledo was inundated with heavy rain over the past few weeks.
The woman, 60-year-old Pamela Knox, managed to climb out of her car and up an emergency services ladder to escape the hole.
Authorities closed down the area, fearing the sinkhole could expand.
