Washington, 20 Oct (EFE).- NASA has released a map of fires that have occurred since 2002. The map, which shows 70% of fires were in Africa and only 2% in North America, is based on data gathered by the MODIS spectroradiometer and the Terra and Aqua satellites from July 2002 to July 2011.
