One woman in Weymouth, Massachusetts found out the hard way that there are some things you should never look up online, like how to get away with robbing a bank.
27-year-old Sarah J. McLoud, was recently arrested at her home roughly five hours after she robbed a bank on Columbian Street. According to local police, the crime occurred at about 10:45 a.m. on a recent Friday.
McLoud reportedly walked into the business and demanded money with no dye packs. She did not brandish a weapon, but police recognized her from the surveillance footage due to an ongoing investigation of a heroin ring in which she was considered a suspect.
According to witnesses, a man, later identified as 28-year-old Robert W. Owens was in the nearby area with McLoud right before the robbery while another man, Daniel M. Murphy drove a vehicle which the suspects used to flee the scene. When detectives caught up with the suspects and searched McLoud’s home they found a recent search with key words including "what happens if you rob a bank".
Cops also located some packaged heroin in the residence along with the cash which was taken from the bank and clothing that matched what the female robber had been wearing.
