CIA allows imprisoned terrorist to design vacuum cleaner

Khalid Sheik Mohammed, admitted mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, was granted permission by the CIA to design a vacuum cleaner while in US custody. Mohammed was captured in Pakistan not long after, then sent to a secret prison in Poland where he endured torture in the form of sleep deprivation and 183 rounds of waterboarding. He was sent to another secret prison in Romania in 2003, but as the CIA no longer saw a reason to continue torturing him, they set to restore his mental and physical health. He was given books to read and a request to design a vacuum cleaner was granted.

When asked about his design, which is now classified, Mohammed's military lawyer, Army Capt. Jason Wright, when asked about them said,"It sounds ridiculous, but answering this question, or confirming or denying the very existence of a vacuum cleaner design, a Swiffer design, or even a design for a better hand towel would apparently expose the U.S. government and its citizens to exceptionally grave danger."
