We’ve been playing Simpsons: Tapped Out for a while now and think Electronic Arts – the game’s publisher – really refined the gameplay until it was simple yet engaging. By incorporating tropes, images and sounds from the actual Simpon’s television show, they’ve also made the game fun.

The Squidport Expansion adds a number of seaside characters and buildings and updates a few existing aspects of the game.

First off, you have to be above level 15 to take advantage of the new seaside tiles, buildings and characters. If you aren’t to that level, you can still download the update but it won’t be fully activated until you hit level 15. The update introduces the Sea Captain and six other new characters – five of them boardwalk street performers like Fire Eaters.
