Logroño (Spain), 12 Jul (EFE), (Camera: María Gil de Gómez).- Researchers from Instituto de Ciencias de la Vid y del Vino and the Instituto Madrileño de Investigación y Desarrollo Rural, Agrario y Alimentario have been able to identify the origin of Tempranillo, Spain's most important red grape variety. Scientists from the two institutes say that Albillo Mayor, also known as Turrentés and Benedicto are Tempranillo's 'parents'.
