Hundreds of mourners gathered in the Ghanian capital Accra on Friday to commemorate the poet Kofi Awoonor, who was killed in the Westgate mall attack in Nairobi, Kenya.
Awoonor, 78, was a literary icon celebrated both in and outside Ghana for his style, translating the rhythms of his Ewe language into English.
