The Rockettes kick off the holiday season in New York with rehearsals for the annual "Radio City Christmas Spectacular."
The dancers invited the media inside their closed door rehearsals to show off moves from the new 2013 production.
The show will mix that new technology with their classic favorites, explained Linda Haberman, director and choreographer of the show.
SOUNDBITE: Linda Haberman, show director and choreographer, saying (English):
"In this number the Rockettes really sort of portray the essence of snow. And we turn the great stage and the music hall into a kind of winter wonderland. We're using some of our new technologies, front of house projection. There is also going to be some very large flying snowflakes that come rise up out of the pit and actually fly over the audience."
Leading up to the two months of performances, the dancers go through a rehearsal schedule that would rival any professional athlete.
