The religious scholar and spiritual leader of Israel's Sephardic Jews, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef,has died at the age of 93.
He founded the ultra-Orthodox Shas party and was a powerful force in the country's politics.
Yosef was born in Iraq and came to Jerusalem at the age of four. He was ordained as a rabbi when he was 20.
