Motorists driving down a 50 mile stretch of road near Cadnam, United Kingdom were shocked and terrified after witnessing a Mercedes cruising down the street with its hood open.

Motorists going down a 50 mile stretch of road near Cadnam, United Kingdom were shocked after witnessing a Mercedes cruising up the street with its hood up.

Basically it was standing straight in the air, blocking the driver’s view of what was going on in front of the vehicle. A battery charger was seen attached to the engine.

The whole ordeal was caught on camera thanks to a passenger in another car who witnessed the dangerous spectacle. It remains unknown who was driving the vehicle at the time, however it was discovered that the car is currently up for sale at a local Mercedes dealership.

Hampshire police have launched a probe into the incident. The divisional manager for Mercedes-Benz at Ridgeway Group stated “We will carry out our own investigation to try and identify the driver so we can take our own action. We will assist Hampshire Constabulary in any way we can. It’s certainly not something we would endorse.”

While little is known about why the hood was up, it’s believed the driver lifted it intentionally due to the battery charger spotted on the motor.
