Spain's King Juan Carlos has left hospital just one week after yet more surgery connected to his hip replacement.

This latest operation was the 75-year-old monarch's eighth in just over three years. Speculation is growing of a possible abdication in favour of his son Felipe, despite constant denials by the palace.
