The 25 crore rupees golden chariot of Lord Venkateshwara has sunk. Trial runs were to have been conducted today involving the 32-feet high chariot which has been constructed using 74 kg of gold and 2,900 kg of copper. But heavy weight of the chariot saw it sink into the soil raising questions about replacing the silver chariot with this new one.
