Tom is from Vietnam, and while working
in the local market place every day for most
of his life, he always had a dream of coming
to America where he felt that he could create
a better life for himself and his family.
After many years of attempts, not long ago,
Tom’s dream of moving to the United States
became a reality and he began his new life
in the Land of Opportunity, Atlanta, Georgia!
With very little English and no experience,
finding a job was grueling for him.
After a long arduous battle of pounding the
pavement in his local area, he finally got hired
as a Stock Clerk in a local Walgreens Pharmacy.
6 days per week he did his job and worked
for a meager just over minimum wage salary.
One night he ventured onto the Internet and
started looking for some new ways to make
an extra $1,000 per month, which would
pretty much double his yearly income.
Sure enough, he started an online business
with nothing more than his credit card and
a little bit of faith.
Well, as you can imagine, most of these
businesses require a fair amount of time
on the phone, [prospecting & recruiting],
neither of which Tom was interested in.
He had no rolodex of contacts, very few
friends, and no list.
These businesses also wanted him to do
things like attend hotel events, host home
parties, meet one on one with prospect,
schedule coffee shop sit downs, and do 3-way
calls with his ’upline’ on the phone.
Again, he wanted nothing to do with these
old school marketing strategies that hardly
work for the average person.
Plus, because English was not Tom’s
first language, he wanted something online,
that required much less, if any phone work,
to get people to buy stuff from him.
After several businesses where he had to
either outsource his calls, or, just not use
the phone at all – he realized that his dream
of building an online business where you
could learn a few simple skills and then let
the System really do a lot of the heavy lifting
for you, was nearly impossible…
