A twenty-six year old Malaysia lorry driver was gunned down in apparently cold blood in Kuala Lumpur, local media reported.

The New Straits Times reported that "S. Sambhath sustained gunshots to the cheek and chest. He was rushed to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival."

Sambhath and a group of friends had gathered on a street near a bank in Klang district. The group were talking amongst themselves when two men on a red Yamaha motorcycle pulled up near them. The men were wearing dark full helmets with the visors drawn down over their faces and long-sleeved black jackets.

The pillion rider disembarked the motorbike and fired his gun into the group of people.

"The group ran helter-skelter to save themselves but Sambhath was hit from a distance of about two to three metres," the New Straits Times reported.

Police said they were searching the area for CCTV cameras to try to reveal the identities of the two gunmen.
