Footage has revealed the damage wrought on the Nairobi shopping mall during a four-day stand-off with suspected Somali militants.

A gaping hole has been left after three floors collapsed in a series of explosions during the operation to free the hostages.

The number of bodies lying beneath the rubble is unknown.
